Operation Dinner Party
Operation Dinner Party is a joint effort between onedollar4darfur.com and the Century City News to raise funds in support of Knightsbridge International’s Darfur IDP (internally displaced person) Relief Project. With your help we are that much closer to bringing desperately needed aid to Darfur.
The premise of Operation Dinner Party is that you host a dinner party— invite your friends, colleagues and acquaintances, over for a meal and a movie. It can be your fantastic gourmet home-stylings, pot-luck, held at your favorite restaurant or take-out, the point is to get together learn about what is happening in Darfur and the humanitarian work of Knightsbridge International.
When you volunteer to host your own Dinner Party we will send you a kit with everything you need to inform and inspire your guests.
- Up-to-date information and maps so you and your guests can see what is really going on in the western region of Sudan. Where relief workers are and where they are not. The places that are inaccessible to relief workers and peace-keepers are often where there is the most violence and destruction occurring.
- A copy of Academy Award nominated director Adrian Belic’s documentary film Beyond the Call about Knightsbridge International.
